Micro TJ scaler REBUILD!!!

Like the title says... its a rebuild from the ground up...
I was inspired by several of the builds on here and was ashamed of my rig until today"thumbsup"

I started with the micro I had before and tore it down to the axles. Next I chunked the tranny and installed a micro t tranny as a transfer case and have a 30:1 gear motor on the way. Then I opened the 1:20 scale baja racer sonoma that came in the mail today. I robbed the frame, winch, seats and windshield wipers. I also stole the transfer case skid from a 1:25 cj7. Now I am waiting for the gear motor, a new servo and a new set of shoes....... NOW TO THE PICS!!

Yes it is.... baja Sonoma to be exact...... The chassis kinda fell through though.... OLD PLASTIC IS BRITTLE!!! so working on something in styrene "thumbsup" it doesnt look as good but at least my Jeep wont have any Gov'nt Motors parts in it  I got all the stuff to finish I think but I burnt mah fingers bending the styrene so Im gonna take a break. As far as the sonoma goes I used the winch, jerry cans and chassis, but the rest is in the box.... I dont know what to do with it........

KnightRyder 02-16-2010 03:55 PM

would be willing to get rid of that s10 body?

do you still have the two square mounts for the servo that go on the front axle?
and would you wanna get rid of them?
:-)

I had to reuse them and put the servo back on the axle... I dont know how every body is getting everything under the hood......

Lookin' better already. Is the chassis going to get painted black? And what's with the white covers on the threads...what are you thinking...:ror:

Yes the chassis is getting painted black, and the white covers are styrene rod that I drilled into and notched to use as wheel nuts that I secure the wheels with. Since I am using spacers the stock wheel nuts are VERY hard to get to work... these are pretty easy and when installed kinda look like locking hubs!
