Nice Bob, looks awesome! Just picked one up from Turtle over the weekend. I got a few old models laying around still from my younger days, I'll have to dig them out and see what I can come up with. |

Ahem. So this was really the last thing i did to the micro. Ripped her out of the work room last week. I was going to try and do a lil comp refurb with it. But, alas, I am redoing it all scale, again. I have sanded and repainted the Commando body in that vid. I aslo just received a micro U-trail scale chassis from TCS. After assembly i want new RC4wd tires and some BWD beadlocks. i will build and takes pics in the next couple days. Then does anybody know if the stock ESC can handle 3s? id like it to be a lil more bash worthy. |

3s, no. Some ppl save the 2s has too much punch as is. Get a thunder ower pack. I belive the 350mah 2s is small enough to fit.

Well. the Hyperion 2s pack i have is fast. but 3s would be sick. I have had a little time to spend on this between work, Halloween and the ensuing hangover.... BUT, i did get it almost fully built. The TCS Ltrail delerin Micro chassis is pretty cool. I got it all set up with a HT 65MG and built under the original Jeep Commando body in the vid above. I repainted the body, and set up a Basic interior. I used some super magnets to mount the body to the chassis, and I also set up a working winch!!! I bashed it around the house yesterday and broke off a bumper and a mount. I will fix it all up and get some glory shots today or tomorrow. Edit and yes, I will be running in the snow! So it was real hard for me to decide to take this the scale route. But felt a little empty because scale automatically makes it less capable than a comp rig... So then i realized that there was a reason I bought my Girl a RTR Micro when i got mine!!! So w/ my micro, hers, and a lil package from BWD.... I can have both. I am going to use the Ally wheels and a set of links (to stretch the rear under body) on my tiny scaler. then a BWD Micro wedge kit - 1 set of links will go on hers. Pics to come soon! |

Soooooooo It took me a minute or to to get this Micro wedge chassis to work the way i wanted. w/ a stock wheel base, it just goes right togeather. But i wanted @least a 5.5in WB. So, this is where she sits. what this lil rig can do now is just freggin insane compared to my scale micro or a stock one!!! it crawls right up the back of my couch! LOL Now its just a debate of which tires and rims, and which body to rock on it. and the lil scaler gots new shoes! |
