| Roff Racks and Lights
I need to get some ideas for what I should use as a good scale roof rack and lights. I wanted to make the rack out of styrene, but if the truck rolls enough times then its done for. As for the light bar, I have some ideas but nothing that would really look good. suggestions would be great!

Watch E-Bay. Sometimes people will have just parts off of 1/24, 1/25th scale models that they are selling. Plastic is gonna break, but its not like these things are heavy weights. Otherwise get some tubing/rod(I use galvanized wire from Walmart)and make some yourself. Making it yourself is the best, cause then you have endless possibilities of whats availible. Good luck and keep us posted.... |

sweet, thanks for lettin me know about the part on eBay i am making a brush guard out of some brass, I have all of the pieces bent, just have to solder them now. The roof rack is gonna go on the scale Defender 110 that I am making, I was looking at the Camel Trophy trucks' roof racks, almost have the body finished, all should be done in a day or 2 |

I used 1/16" Brass Stock on my Xmods a couple years ago and soldered the joints together. Pretty easy to work with and strong once it's all put together.
