i just added the window brace, roof brace and started putting a dash in it. i did not do the v that the ftoy has in the window becaused it looked really funny at this scale. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...9/DSCN0146.jpg http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...9/DSCN0144.jpg http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...9/DSCN0151.jpg |
what is the charger mod and what does it do? |
if i am right in my thinking, you run an AC adapter through the charger, pretty much making it a wall charger, but you still keep the ability to tell when the battery is fully charged, or at least thats what i was gonna do with mine. |
Man, thats turning out great! What kind of torch are you using for this? (butane or propane) Just curious to see what people here use for when I eventually get a torch.. |
http://www.ripper7racing.com/r7rforu...read.php?t=458 ^thats the charger mod i have the ability to switch from a wall charger to charging with the batterys. you also get 2-3 mins of better run time. its the bernzomatic torch from the home depot i spent 10 bucks with the torch and a can of butane |
The way I did my charger mod is the ez way . I just use a ac to dc adapter that is 12 volts 500mA (1.5 volts x8 is 12 volts)and just alligator clip it to positive and neg on the charger and done . can still use batteries and no need for on off switch . Great job doing the extra work for the switch and plug ."thumbsup" |
well the chassis might just might be here tommrow! right now im deciding weather or not to run it on propane or not. |
Got the chassis in today assembled it! still need to extend the driveshaft but other then that its good to go! http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...9/DSCN0156.jpg http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...9/DSCN0157.jpg http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...9/DSCN0158.jpg |
