what is the charger mod and what does it do?

Krazy_Polak 03-30-2010 09:11 AM

if i am right in my thinking, you run an AC adapter through the charger, pretty much making it a wall charger, but you still keep the ability to tell when the battery is fully charged, or at least thats what i was gonna do with mine.

Man, thats turning out great! What kind of torch are you using for this? (butane or propane) Just curious to see what people here use for when I eventually get a torch..

^thats the charger mod i have the ability to switch from a wall charger to charging with the batterys. you also get 2-3 mins of better run time.

its the bernzomatic torch from the home depot i spent 10 bucks with the torch and a can of butane

The way I did my charger mod is the ez way . I just use a ac to dc adapter that is 12 volts 500mA (1.5 volts x8 is 12 volts)and just alligator clip it to positive and neg on the charger and done . can still use batteries and no need for on off switch . Great job doing the extra work for the switch and plug ."thumbsup"
