Here's a quick pair of cell phone pictures...before I've had my coffee, even!

**The blue jumper is where the stock On/Off Switch leads are normally soldered.

**In this second picture the left pair go to power; the right pair go to the motor.

So you rewired the stock ESC, eh? Why eliminate the on/off switch with a jumper?

To eliminate the need for the switch, kinda like most Helis have. When you plug the battery in, it automatically turns on, I was thinking of doing this, myself

Takes out a potential failure point.

thank you very much, greatly appreciated. i hadnt messed with it in so long, due to other projects that i was not feeling confident that i had them right. i didnt want to take the chance of rewiring it, pluggin it in and letting the smoke out of it. im gonna put some softer wires on it that move more freely while i am at it. i like the jumper idea. no switch to go bad and gets you in the habit of unplugging your battery when you are done.i may copy you on that one. once again thank you for posting the pics. i hope you didnt gut it from the case just for this.

-No problem. I de-trayed the ESC many moons ago.
-I was more concerned with 'neatness' than a failing power switch but it does take care of that possibility, too.
-Yes, softer wires are nice. The softer the better, especially if you're still playing with the location of electronics and moving things around, as it really stresses the solder points with stock wiring. Initially I had to resolder the motor leads several times; I eventually made a loop in the wiring and zip-tied the loop so any "tugging" will put stress at the zip-tied loop, and not at the motor's solder points.
