gear ratios??

help a noob out

I saw on the hobby etc site that hot racing is selling 52, 53, 54, 55 tooth spur gears and I was wondering if those are worth the 7$ that they want and since I was getting the alumn case would they help with anything since I'll have the tranny apart.

also are the hot racing bead locks any good ?

I have 2 of the 54 tooth. Not really much to say.

If your talking about the Transmission case that is the best piece to upgrade... Will take care of any binding (if any).

I would go for the BWD wheels.

just to be clear, its the hot racing tranny case that lessens binding?

also, quick question, did a search, came up with nothin, and losi's site/pics arent any help. also didnt want to start a new thread for a simple question...

but how can you tell which wire coming out of the motor is positve or negative, blue or orange? both mine broke off at the solder, and cant remeber which connected where. so im left with a charged lipo that's none too happy

edit: thanks a bunch

The wires on the motor allways break they are pretty weak. Just touch the wires to the motor and see what way it spins. You can plug the batt directly into the plug for the motor. If you get it wrong it will just spin backwards no harm.
