Default Hot Racing Products Let's Vote:

Hi i was thinking it would be really nice to have some comments on the Hot Racing products. I have quite a few parts on my trucks and would like to hear what other people have found so COMMENTS PLEASE. Here's what I have on one of my trucks (All HR)

1) Beadlock Rims
2) Transmission Case
3) Spur Gear Cover
4) Spur Gear (various ratios)
5) Real straight real axle set
6) Servo/Battery plate
7) Shocks
Front hubs
9) Axle C's
10) Steering Linkage
11) Graphite chassis (oops forgot till now) Excellent chassis!
12) Center Skid Plate

As far as my experience:

VERY IMPRESSED: the Bead-Lock Rims, Tranny Case, Rear Straight Axle set. Tranny case like said by others is a great improvement over stock. The resulting gear mesh is awesome. I my opinion "the best bang for your buck". The bead-locks are really nice and they work well with either of the new RC4WD micro tires. Always nice to have a straight rear axle to make her run smoother and stronger.

Like the Spur Gear Cover (all show but a nice show), Spur Gears are actually pretty good and I would recommend them in various T#'s.

Not Impressed with the Servo/Battery Plate, Shocks, front hubs and Axle C's. The servo/battery plate seems too big and I use mine without the battery plate. Shocks Very Nice looking, low on functionality. Front hubs and Axle C's very nice but I had to do a lot of filing to get them to fit.

Please let everyone know your opinions please. Bottom line overall good stuff, good prices. I get my parts from a US distrubutor so don't have the high mail cost and the waiting period,I hope their metal inner gear set come out soon, i will need 6 sets of those:-)

I wish RC4WD would make more stuff for our trucks but looks like only a few products from them for our SWEET LITTLE Crawlers!

I had the shocks... gave them away. They look good but thats about it.

The beadlocks... work great except the hardware could be made harder so the screw heads wont strip as easy as they do.

Rear axle set.... ooooh shiny. Mine will be going away when 4WS shows up.

Tranny case... Fixed the binding

Spur gear cover.... Eh not required but it looks good w/ the new case.

Shocks....... they don't work stock, took some major mods to make them work as needed, look good on scale rigs....I still have mine but they are not currently mounted on any of my rigs. Not worth the cost

Tranny Case.......great fit, cures tranny binding issues, also acts as heat sink for motor.....worth the cost.

Rear Lock Outs.....good part, works as it should, looks good....worth the cost

Skid Plate.....works as it should, fits well, great bling part but adds nothing to the performance of the truck
