Can I ask what u did to water proof the motor, ESC, and Servo? I have read before about how people do it but was currious what all u used to waterproof a micro. 150mm wheelbase? Are u sure? A stock one is around 100mm and I have a QLO setup with 130mm. Last edited by DANALLY; 11-01-2010 at 10:59 PM. Reason: read wrong |

Just thought I would let you know you don't need to waterproof the motor. I think all simple motors can run under water you just need to worry about rust and oil the bushing/bearings after. Also these little motors run hot so anything you do to waterproof will make it run much hotter and burn it up or melt a pinion. To waterproof the reciever/speed control I would put it in a small balloon and use hot glue to seal the opening then but a peice of 1.5" heat srink over it for added protection and it also makes it more stable if you tape it down with double stick tape. This is what I did and have not had any problems.

For the motor i used heatshrink becuase of the circuit, servo i took apart the case hot glued it and then put it back together and i used a black balloon around it and used a small zip-tie at the end of it all. | |
