No, no, I didn't mean to say he was incorrect! I just wanted to be sure in my own head that it was cool to run lipos. I'm glad to have a definitive answer. I wonder why Losi doesn't have it on their website or in any of the manuals? Seems goofy. Since that's the case, I'll be getting some micro lipos! Thanks!!

alright guys heres the update i promised
additions are
-pinch chasis
-micro bbv2 rewound to 80t (thanks getbent)
-dual rate micro t springs on stock shocks

this chasis is way smaller than anything else ive used

heres the new spring setup soft front coils

medium rears ...and the hards are cut in half front and rear

same belly clearance as the dp had

fully compressed

modified the bug body a little more with some nice tight boat-sides and you can really see the shape of the roof scoop in this pic

and a shot with the body on

That was a BA comp course we made in the living room. Wiggling the steering was key on those tight gate, where you come out of one then there was another right there. I should have never got rid of mine.

Man, that's a sweet chassis and I'm diggin' the wheels, too. Got me a couple of lipos ordered today at the LHS. Next up will be some wheels and Rok Lox. Enough about me; how do the dual springs work for ya? Have you tried any other suspension mods? I'm thinking about doing a micro comp style rig next. These babies are so cheap and fun!

the hard springs dont really compress much theyre more like spacers really but it flexes nice. id say its more predictable than the dp even and none of that squirly rebound that the dp had. i can best compare it to feeling like a 1/10 just way smaller. and im pretty sure don hasnt sold another set of the vertexes in that color combo for the micro.and lemme know when you want to do a micro comp rig and i can maybe give you some tips that ive picked up along the way
