Default 1s Lipo?

Hi there,

Are the batterya in the linka below appropriate 1s LiPo upgrades for the Losi McRC?
As I intend on using a DP torsion chassis I think I can get away with a 1s LiPo.

Has anyone tried no-name ebay lipos?

Thanks, from that information i can take that as long as the specs match up (and it fits) it shouldn't really matter?

*EDIT* I should mention the reason I am asking is that in Australia the particular batteries mentioned in previous posts are not so easy to find.

I would'nt try the battery in your first link, not really the best choice as it would be a little harder to hook up.

The battery in your second link should work fine, might be a little large but I have used a very similar battery with no issues on 1s. HOWEVER, make sure on the second battery you double check the wires. The red and black wires were backwards on mine because thats the way the walkera helis are wired, so most likely this one will be the same. You don't want to hook it up backwards, youll fry the esc.

I'm thinking of ordering this:

Lipo
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXYCH7&P=ML

Charger
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWLT6&P=V

It looks like it has the correct plugs on it.
I have one of these, it came with my used micro, but no charger.

the first batt is kinda huge for a micro i'd stick with the thunder power 1 or 2s lipos theyre only 250 mah but i still get about 40 mins runtime and if you run it much longer youll prob overheat your motor or esc

huge in dimensions or mah?
I really need a charger for the walkera 1s 3.7 that I have. I'm eating up AA with that damn Losi portable NiMh charger! Do you think that charger will work? The plug looks the same as Losi micro.

I bought a losi lipo for my micro-t and blew 2 esc/rx's with it. Im kind of afraid to plug it into my micro crawler. I see others running them though. I think I got a bad battery.

so I got my new 3.7V, 20C 400 mah STORM and connected to my losi micro - my DSM receiver burned in a blink of an eye and all I could see was a white smoke coming off the receiver. Anyone any ideas what could go wrong? The battery came with a micro T connector so it fit the original plug. I'm thinking that the +/- could be switched on a battery, but have no way of confirming that w/o a meter.
What do you guys think?

Pretty sure the wires are backwards on the battery. Put the battery connector up to the esc connector as if you were going to connect them, do the red wires line up and the black wires line up, or are they crossed?

yeah I figured it out already, plus tested to make sure on a LED diode - you are right - that was expensive lesson though since my dsm/esc is toasted ... looks like I have to get a new one. Will probably try to find a used one to cut the costs.

Same thing happened to me, some companies revers the wires.
I was lucky and unplugged it before it cause any damage. Now I check every battery before hooking them up.
