Turned out great! Looks like you've gotten tinkeritus bad over the last week. I hope your dye plan works, delrin seems way too damn dense to take color. Hopefully it turns out red instead of pink. Doesn't look bad white either though. Edit... I dig on the thickness of the plates too, beefy! That dog'll hunt!!! Last edited by Midlife Crisis; 01-31-2011 at 11:58 PM. |

Thanks Midlife Crisis. And yes I got the tinker bug pretty bad this week, I have always liked to build my own stuff when possible. I now have 2 extra chassis plates now to test the dye out on lol, will prob just take a little extra time to get the colour how I would like it. |

Thanks Stormin2u, and yes I am totally into the micro. If I had my way I would start my own business making RC parts for them and other crawlers. Looks like it is going to stay white for now, tried the dye out and after 30min the test panel was still white. OR I can order some carbon fibre! Yep I think I might do that, will see if I can find some red carbon fibre sheet, if not good old black will work. Last edited by dockman; 02-01-2011 at 06:08 PM. |
