| what chassis should i get.
hey i have a micro in the mail and other than the basics like weight the tires and droop setup the first thing i plan to do is get a chassis. i like the idea of the DP chassis but i kinda want to extend the wheelbase. For extended chassis i was thinking about the eclipse but i have heard nothing but bad reviews about the stock shocks. So would the eclipse be good or should i toss the shocks and get a DP.

ya i thought about just extending the DP but i thought the extra length would give it more leverage making it too soft. When you lengthened it did it seem to soft?

R7R, who makes the Eclipse, also makes the Raptor Chassis. I run one and can say I love it. No clearance issues at all, which I've read is the issue with the rear end of the Eclipse chassis.

there's a thread on here where someone uses just about every chassis made for the micro. You should look for that, it's really helpful. I have a TMC (with extended wb) and a Pinch, they are really different from each other but I like them both. You need to decide on a few things before you decide on a chassis. Do you want to extend the wheelbase? Do you want to run 4ws? Do you want to run MiniQLO tires? And there's not a lot of options for shocks. HR makes a set but people say they take a while to break in. I don't think the stock shocks are that bad... actually, they are the only stock parts left on my micros. |

BWD Micro wedge is the shit. Stock WB, Long WB, Stock Tires, QLo's etc. its a chassis that allows you all the options you want. Not to mention its light, and helps COG immensely, no matter how you run it. Its more expensive than some, but comes with ALL the hardware you need. Links, nuts bolts, encouragement etc. |
