Pretty awesome frontend you have so far. How will you be addressing the steering? T or SCT draglink maybe? Ball and socket tie rods? Also, what limits your droop? Will the dogbone limit it? Last edited by Midlife Crisis; 01-21-2012 at 07:20 PM. |

As for droop. Currently the dogbones are limiting it but I have started making some pretty scale shocks from the micro-t shocks I bought. They will be what limits the droop in the end. one end is going to be solid mounted with rubber bushings and the other will mount the stock way that the T shocks connect.

I wonder if a servo horn could be used to mount 2 ballstuds and them go straight to the steering arms, eliminating a draglink altogether. Are they out front or in the rear on your setup? I can't tell from the pics.

| ![]() They are in the rear. That's pretty much what I'll be trying to do. I just ordered the motors as well as a new aluminum servo horn.

Sweet I'm anxious to how exactly the speeds are going to sync up. Have you figured out each diff's gearing exactly? I might have missed it. |

With the motors it isn't going to be perfect but it should be pretty close. ...I hope. I'm pretty anxious too.

Another trick done to the micro cups is to harden them ... heat them up cherry red then dip into motor oil. It makes them last longer. Otherwise they'll wallow out in short order ... especially at those operating angles. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk |

Decided to add fender flares. Can't decide if I should paint them black or match them to the body. ![]() |

Here is a video showing how things are going. I ended up getting a different motor for the front and now the speeds match up almost perfect. Pretty damn slow but I like it ![]() ![]() Going to be adding shocks up front to limit droop as well as locking the front differential. Anyone know how to make the Aoshima swampers softer? Or know of another tire about the same size that is softer and grips better? |

Try RC4WD's Boggers. They should work pretty good, softer and about the same height. You could also try some traction compound.

Edit* Yep same size, much to large. The aoshima super swampers are just about the perfect size. The compound just kind of sucks..

Traction compound will soften the tire a bit. You can also try boiling them. I use Parma Ground Effects on my 1/12 car. It softens plastics, so make sure you don't get any on the body. let it dry and it should soften the tires some.
