Micro Ford F150 Raptor

This is my first Micro Build with the following:
SMC chassis (great guy by the way)
Leaf sprung rear axle, coil over front (similar to the real Raptor)
Aluminum straight axel kit on the rear
Aluminum steering knuckles on front
Aluminum trans brace
Aluminum trans housing
Micro High Roller tires glued to weighted MRC rims
Aluminum covered driveshafts (for looks)
KNOK 1/24th scale RC body (ebay)

The smaller tire diameter really lowers the cog and it crawls surprisingly well. You need to pick the line more carefully but it has great traction and will make it up jut about anything built to relative scale.

Cool micro......

I really hope you use your 1:1 to it's fullest potential! I want one to beat on but I live nowhere near desert.

yea - the "real" Raptor is a total blast to drive. I live in Colorado and have had it out at the CORE off road complex a couple of times. Nothing too crazy yet, rather expensive toy to be reckless. Kicks butt in the snow and soaks up 1 to 2 foot whoops like no other.
When i found the 1/24 body on ebay I knew I had to build a mini

Good to hear you're using it.....awesome truck! Me personally, id beat on it and drive a a jap crap beater for commuting. "thumbsup" My realworld wheeling rig has more in it than my Late model 3/4 ton 4x Dodge and I beat on both.....work and play.:ror:

Mine has the 5.4 - got a better deal opting for the smaller engine. Even so, it gets up and goes pretty well. 6 sped auto and 4:10s in the axles, it will roast them pretty good with the traction control turned off.

Cool yeah the 5.4 has plenty of power:ror:

Nice!!
Do you have (or can you measure) the wheelbase and witdt of that 1/24 body?
I might want to get one to go along with my 1:10 JConcepts Raptor.
