Can I shorten the motor wires on a sidwinder esc for a 2000kv motor conversion? ... I'm not going to shorten the wires from the can ...

isnt it as easy as soldering new connections on cut shorter wire? not sure what your needs are but i guess tying them out of the way wont work. @ 2000kv I guess you are using the Hextronix outrunner. considering how cheap those are I would rather cut those wires short, you need to add connectors to them any way |

Some told me if you shortin the wires it will change the wind of the motor ... I'm not really sure .. I figured someone would know for sure .. my plan is to do .8mm micro connectors like creepyg did . But I wanna put them right on the esc . Or 3-4 mm off of it from the stock wires ..

Im no motor expert but if it changes anything it wont be the physical wind of the motor. the "wind" from what i understand is how many times you wind the stator in the motor. again at $6 or $7 i would rather cut the motor wires. I believe creepy G or someone else cut them down & folded them over so they would fit better in crimp connectors without any issues.
