Default Metal Trans gears

Anyone know if there are metal trans gears and where I can get them. I keep sheering the teeth off the small trans gear.

Thanks

Ive seen those. said to be the same part # as its updated. before you order make sure its actually metal and not just the pic. are you sure there is no binding in your case? People have run outrunners and big 130 can 90 turn motors and not stripped gears.
maybe try the hot racing case first. it makes the trans smooth as butter

I am running the HR trans case. No binding, nice and smooth. My wheel however, are extremely heavy.

Sure you didnt get dirt or grit in the tranny? the stock transmission is not really "airtight" there's a small opening next to the motor, stuff can get in and cause some issues. I usually remove the motor from the transmission and blow on it while turning the tranny to make sure there's nothing trapped in the gears.

Damn..

Yea I'm sure there's no grit or anything in the trans case. I only drive it inside. When I opened it up it was completely clean.

i have 5 of these and no problems huh! you may want to rebuild your tranny with fresh gears, i had to do that on a used one i got, installed the HR case and still felt gritty so i replaced the gears, mint ever since.

how heavy are your wheels?

i was running miclaws and kept spinning pinions.

maybe your slipper is to tight.

and make sure when meshing the gears you can spin them really EASY with your finger nail.
Yea that's the one. I haven't had a problem in my other micros. Each wheel weighs about 3-4 ounces(about 100 grams).

I'm pretty sure a lot of people run with their slipper basically locked.

Gears were running super smooth.. idk..

Exactly, that's why I was looking for metal gears. Someone needs to make them I'd be in for several sets.

When I first saw that gear I thought it would make for a decent DIY metal gearset with the proper size alloy spur gear, same thread pitch. you would just need to find a way to get the spur hear hole to mate up where the trans gear belongs.
has anyone come across the center trans shaft gear in metal like the EBay pic? perhaps the trail tekkers?

Everyone send HR an email saying that they should make an aluminum gear set.

Eggoz: What aluminum slippers are you running and where can I get them?

Ive done the same. just a few washers and a 2nd top slipper and you are good it has JUST enough room to spin without rubbing. I doubt you could go any bigger than 59t without cutting the shaft for clearance.
