Default T-buck's RidgeBack Topless

Blade was kind enough to send me one of the new Ridgeback Topless chassis to see what I could come up with?

Alot of the micro guys have been watching to see how the RidgeBack turns out. I know there are others working on them.

I will be using all the HR parts & wanted to use RC4WD tires but will probally end up w/the BWD wideners and wheels along with Mini-qlo tires.

Front Axle

Rear Axle

I am going to try these style links for the lowers, We will see how they work?

I am in the middle of a move so this will be the first one (Micro) I do while in the process of finding all my stuff.

Here we go.......... Stay tuned.

CrawlerX If & when he decides to make them for sale. These are ones that I asked for & will be fine tuning the measurements & also seeing how they work.

I will have to let Blade answer that one.

Thanks Norm, I hope to make you happy.

First:
The Front Upper mount, Go's behind the Servo & Ball studs mount to be the "anchor point" going back to the ball studs on the chassis. Also has 3 spots for adjustment.

Another angle

And Now for the Links....
These are for the Rear, They are Alot longer than what I will end up with. This just shows what I am thinking of doing. The Aluminum sleeve will be shorter.

Picture of the front & Rear Links.

More Coming....

I see you choose not to use the middle top rib... I also see you alternated the nose screw and the tail screw to face opposite sides from each other...

Any reason for that, or just because?

No reason w/the nose screw & tail screw orientation. I was waiting for someone to notice the missing 3rd rib... I plan on putting it in there was just trying something out.

If it isn't working properly you are not setting it up correctly, mine works great. Maybe contact Blade if you have issues before you leave not so nice comments.

I guess throwing money at it isn't everything is it? I believe this chassis was MEANT to utilize custom links of custom lengths to perform. I will eventually give it a try and make it long.

I've done a LOT to mine, pretty much documented everything that I've done in the thread in my sig. This chassis does not compare to the Blade TMC. The Blade TMC is a far superior design.

Now, Blade has a setup where they've totally re-drilled the uppermount locations and have a radically different upper link setup. That may make this thing compete with the Blade TMC. But currently no matter what I do or what I try, the Blade TMC has a far superior articulation. However I know some people will not want to re-drill things, so that may cause an issue with some.

And without negative comments and criticisms, nothing in our world would be were it is currently at. No one was rude, just giving their opinion, which they are entitled to. And we have been talking about this chassis for some time and in some length in other threads.
