Default Micro slipper clutch issues?

My slip clutch is constantly loosening. If i tighten it any more it makes the motor get too hot. Do you need to replace these now and then? is there a upgrade to a better setup?
Thanks,
Chris

I found this most helpful for getting it off (and also confirmed that tightening just binds it up even more than it already is)
Slipper ?'s

and then glued it just like so
Slipper elimination ( locked )

Hope that helps

^^^ Yep, and yep. Didnt read the links, but Im guessing they are spot on by the post. You can tighten down the slipper, but the plastic hub will just push past the trans output shaft spline and cause binding against the trans housing, your best bet is to glue the spur to the slipper and only tighten it enough that it doesnt loosen off. Trust me, the motor will be fine

***Edit***Just read the links....... dead on.
