Ok, so it seems I am not going to be able to get my scx10 up and running any time soon. So I will be back at with this little guy.

Big storm coming for our town here...looks like I am staying in with the trekker. I will be attempting cardboard track.

I am where the mouse is.

I really like storms! We have had no rain at all this whole summer. Hopefully it storms hard. Well actually we have a garden that has lots o corn and stuff so a nice medium storm will be nice. haha. Wont want the plants getting hammerd.

Thanks dude!

ok so my yota body came today from a good friend...momo.75.

Family video thing covering my address...just in case for creepers haha.JK

Inside...Two Yotas!

I started painted right away. Priming hood.

Tip for others...dont paint on styrofoam...the paint eats it.

Random picture of my cat being silly.

Got the hood done...the scheme is black hood and brown body.

Now I got the body primered.

And painted.

Its a primer kinda brown. Flash makes it look orange.

Its dark right now, so more to come after I get done mowing tommorow.

I still have to do the bedsides and bed.

Thankyou Momo.75!

Did a little mock up today. Got the bed and bedsides all done.

This is not exactly how it will look.

Any one have a detailed step-by-step on how to bob beds?

Pick a point out in the rear quarter panel area, away from flares or bed corners. Then section out equal amounts on each side, then glue the rear section back on. Pretty simple on a scaler, 1:1 is a bitch! I'm jealous of that Yota, I need to find me a 1st Gen 4x4 to beat on!

Looks like you got it dovetailed too?

You did want the rear bobbed didn't you? Or did you want to section the front to get the wheel wells to line up?

That's definitely old school, Yo! They did them in rainbow colors too. Poor Hiluxes, Chevy S-10s, and Harbody pickups got the brunt of cheesy 80's "Truckin' " fads. LOL

Did another mock up. Thats all I can really do right now. haha. This is what it might look like on the truck.

I cant figure out this bobbing thing. Like I dont know what to cut it with. First pictures where not on special mode. So they are fuzzy.

I am going to have to get the length to match the inside bed part.

Dude, that's gonna look sick! Badass! Do you have a Dremel? If so, I'd use a cutoff wheel, it'd work excellent and be clean.

Ya, I read about that thread. I dont know how ill do it with this little thing though.

Maybe making a knotch with a ban-saw and putting the thread in there may work?

a bandsaw? I think that would be overkill. the plastic is pretty soft. you could just mark off the area you want to keep with marker and good tape. make a notch with a utility knife to hold the thread while you start. there are at least 2 other bobbed lindberg Toyotas on here you could always ask them

Unless the bandsaw blade is 14 TPI or more, it'll rip that bedside out of your hands and shred it. Maybe a hack or coping saw to start (and finish) the cut. I'm with Spoo on scoring your cut lines FIRST with an Exacto before you cut anything. Id use a square off the bedrails to have square and even lines. Damn if I know about the string method, sounds like a bitch to keep straight, even with scored lines. A hacksaw blade has enough TPI and thick enough to use the top edge of the blade to guide the business end of the blade.
