Nice modeling combined with a tight RC build can certainly make for an impressive project, well done

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure more than one person will) but wasn't King Kong 2wd? I remember it being a big deal back in the day. Or have I got my monster trucks mixed up?

That is freakin' sweet! I just bought a Bigfoot model to use on one of my micros with Miclaws, but this makes me want to use the monster truck tires instead. Absolutely amazing work there man!!!

King Kong was 4wd but had custom hubs for the front so it wasn't 4wd full-time.

Here's a pic from Off-Road magazine October 1982 showing the front axle.

Thanks Timp138

I have a set of Miclaws that I plan on using on Kong as soon as I get some rims, So I'll be using 2 sets of tires.

Very cool.
Can you post some more detail on how you mounted the wheels?
How do those model tires perform?

The tires do alright for what they are. There's a link in post #27 to a video. It might give you an idea on how they perform.
