I'm running CrawlerX's wideners on mine. Cheap too, $10. I'd say you maybe get 1/4" more overall width, 1/8" per side. The stock wheelnuts work perfect too. I might glue the McRC hexes onto the Crawlerx units and utilize the extra width, and the barrel nuts too.

So send him on a beer and/or food run, take pics of his set up while he is gone, and then post the pics up. I'm sure with all of us on here we can muster up enough brain power to figure out his DIY method. But, then again.....

Here's the few pics he sent me on Face Book when he first finished it, I'll throw them in quotes below with the caption he gave.

Not very clear, but stock spacer is on the left, modified is on the right.
Quote:

Had to modify the spacer (middle) to fit the newer rims. And get the tires out away from the frame...
Quote:

Rock crawler with modified spacers on both front tires (at the top) which makes it a little wider than the rear tires (no spacers yet).
Quote:

Definitely wider now in the front... On to modifying the other 2 spacers...
Quote:

Tires installed using the modified spacers.

Do you have the trekker? If you scroll down, says "these do not work with the trail trekker"

Yea, I run these spacers on a Trekker. It works......without the included barrel nuts. They are what is not compatible with the Trekker shafts...too long to suck the wheel down without a thicker spacer or washers/shims on the outside of the wheel. PM returned....

Edit...be warned about Blade's site, it'll sucker you into more than just spacers! Lol

I'm gonna say maybe 2mm per side extra width. The Trekker hexes when installed show about 2mm of the axle shoulder. With Blade's widener, no shoulder shows. 1/4" might be a stretch, but 3/16" definitely for overall width.
