I don't really know about the micro, since I have yet to own one, but I really like my trekker.

The trekker is longer and the wheel width is wider. The trekker has a different frame then the regular micro crawler.Trekker is more scale but the micro crawler can be changed to anything you can think of.Also price wise the micro crawler is cheaper and you can find great deals on them used.Don't see many trekkers for sale used.Look around at all the different builds here on rccrawler.

| The Trekker comes with just about everything you'd upgrade a crawler to be for about the same price. IMHO, the Trekker is a better buy, no freight to rock out and performs straight out. All the free mods applicable to the crawler make the Trekker that much mo betta! $150 fo the Trekker vs $120 fo McRC and upgrades+freight/time/mods to even match. I bought 2 crawlers before I got the Trekker and was instantly impressed, far surpassed the stock Crawler.

| I think PCHILNSF answered this question best a couple posts up. If you don't plan to mod, Trekker is much more capable out of the box. Most of the mods and aftermarket chassis and various mods are set up for the crawler.

If you want scale, buy a Trekker If you want to upgrade and go performance, buy a crawler Buying a crawler and upgrading it to scale, might as well get a Trekker. Buying a Trekker and making it into a comp style is an added waste of money. If you plan to do nothing with whatever you buy, then buy a Trekker. |

I think this, what to do about a twitching servo, and a lipo list should all be sticky'd at the top of this forum. I must have seen three or four "micro vs. Trekker" threads, and at least four servo threads in the past month. If we can't use the search button, let's put it at the top. Sorry, rant over. | |
