Well I just got my trail trekker off of craigslist. it has a lipo, and the losi micro crawler shocks for longer travel. im going to ATTEMPT to make a scalerhaha. I am planning to do a 1979 Ford Bronco but they are harder to find and I haven't put a 1/24 model together in years so I decided to to a Ford F250 Super Duty to work the bugs out haha. anyway i hope it looks ok in the end, Ill be posting pictures of the progress. Any tips are apprecited. ![]() ![]() Last edited by broncobeast79; 01-06-2012 at 12:20 AM. |

I built the same truck, but I used the Blade chassis. Had to stretch it a lonooong way to make it fit right. heres the link to my build if you need some ideas.....Rebuild(wrap up 9-6-11 with pics) |

I can't wait to see some progress!!! Good luck!!! Make sure the body posts aren't visible and put no holes in the body! I did that on my first scaler and regret it all the time!! Good luck building and Happy Crawling!!

If I remember I just glued the body like the instructions called for, of course I have the original frame mounted on top of the Blade chassis with some clear lexan (outside of the frame to frame, front and back)and screws for remaval of I need it.

I would take off the body posts and leave the flat platform left, then put velcro on that, then some velcro on the body too!! Good luck! I can't wait for the pictures!!

wow ive had that same body painted metallic blue for months....never got around to figuring out the long chassis. cant remember but think stock look would have a long 7 inch wheel base. was either gonna go w square brass tube custom chassis or two trail trekker rails. now im thinkin maybe shorter for a bobbed/doved/truggy look. yours will def be 'done' first haha ![]() Last edited by jaytet; 01-07-2012 at 07:05 PM. |

Hate to bring up an old thread for the stupidest of reasons, but what is the wheelbase of this body? I have searched everywhere only to find a total length of 9 9/16" bumper to bumper, the height, and the width. Can somebody help me out?

I like your spray booth. Good idea with the cardboard box for small paint jobs.
