Thanks! I threw the set on the truck for fun. It looks odd, but cool at the same time with the front rims all around. |

I've seen the 5 bolt. I can do it pretty easy. I based this rim on these photos, which are both 64 Chevy trucks. \o/ Edit: the bottom one is older, has the wrap windshield. Why do you prefer the 5 bolt, 5 hole? There is a Ford 5 bolt that has a deeper pull on the dome part. I'll try it eventually. BTW there is an 1/8th inch offset on these rims. Thanks! While I am waiting for my order of .020" clear PET-G to arrive to finish work on the Specter I decided to try and get my 64 running and in primer! I have the interior done, but still have a firewall and radiator to install. I abandoned the off axle servo steering for now. I need to finish something. lol So I double-sided taped the servo to the axle and everything fits and clears just fine. I may be able to get the majority of the motor inside too. Getting serious about the paint now. I have a couple ideas. First scenario is a restore that has some age. Olive drab/flat black, but some rust where tight spots left their mark. No major rust or dents. Full cab and bed with cow catcher front bumper and rear roll bar. Second scenario is factory but faded colors with more rust and weathering. Maybe a primered quarter panel... The electronics board may go behind the seat. I'm gonna try. The battery will be hidden under cargo in the bed. Looking for feedback, comments, ideas... Hey update time! I figured how to get great pictures. Aperture override and a tripod. I have the interior cut away for the pc board. It fits nicely. I may drill a carefully placed hole in the rear cab for hitting the bind switch. I drove it for the first time. It actually climbed "The Rock". I was blown away. I need to finish the mounting arrangement. Very close to primer now. |

I use a dslr (canon t2i on tripod) and also use a box with white paper in it and on the sides.. shoot light into it for the lighting... make a product box... works great.. and your pics came out great! | |

I'm using a Cannon PowerShot SX10 IS. It's an awesome camera for what I'm doing. I got a photo lighting system off ebay for $40.00! I ditched the lights that came with it for 200w (eqi) daylight CFL's. I set the white balance quickly, then set to Aperture priority, set to F8. Easy. lol Those two CFL's were all the light I needed. |

The coolest setup is no good if you have no curtains. lol I've got it in primer! I need to green putty a seam on the hood. :/ I really need to decide on paint. I want a weathered look, but faded paint always looks like pastels. Like how a red becomes almost pink. Had also considered two tone, white roof and grill, and some other color for everything else. I like green but the factory green was ewww. Right now I'm leaning towards a dulled hunter green, with less fading, with some light rust on the horizontal flats. Maybe some flat black on the hood. Please give feedback. I would like to here from the builders. |

I love that frame (custom made?) I love thoes rims, it needs a bumper of sorts. I completely agree with hunter green I thought that would be a fitting color before even finishing your post! I can see a white roof with rust streaks running along the top.. how are you going to "beat the thing up" or are you going for trusty rusty? Sweet rig already imo. |
