Finally tried the UHD mode for rims. Wow!!! All rims will be printed in UHD mode. I'm embarrassed of the previous images. :(

this might be getting a bit too detailed for such a small rim/tire. but is it at all possible to do a hub and then have the rim attach to that, rather than having a pin/hex mounted wheel?? or am i trying too hard.. lol

and my other Q, is it possible to have a less offset rim too? to narrow the track width rather than widening it ?

Holy shit! That's awesome man. I might just have to buy a set to match my 1:1 wheels. Of course I'll have to paint the outer ruins though. Still need to fix that 7th lug though.

I'm not 100% sure I know what you are envisioning. Can you sketch something out? ;)

The reduced offset is definitely possible.

Yes UHD is Ultra HD. I use HD for the chassis because they are so tall. The geometry of the rims, short with a face that requires highest clarity, lends itself to UHD. There is one above UHD but It's crazy accurate and crazy slow making parts.

Ok, ok so the lugs can be removed. hehe Due to design limitations the lugs don't clear the wheel nut when reduced to 5 r 6. I do want to make a thin laser cut part for the outer ring. It's coming together.

upon thinking about it, and going back to check out the body and how the stock losi rims fit, i think ill stick with the losi offset. maybe maximum +2mm on either side. also, the hub idea, way too finiky.. even if done well, the nuts n bolts to hold it all together would not take much to strip out i reckon... i was thinking about something along the lines of the RC4wd micro pressed steel beadlock.

something like this >>

Do you have a rough time frame of when you will be ready to start selling?

Finally got the chance to update photobucket with the jeep rim images. :(

I painted them with my airbrush.

Thanks for the feedback...

It's just one coat of Tamiya silver with an airbrush. My first time... I should have used some alcohol to thin the paint. I used water but it appears to be ok.

Oh! Hope to be selling this fall.

Klampy, why you gotta live in frickin' Australia man? lol >.<

Thanks everything's coming together, slowly but surely.

I drew this up last night. It's factory offset, but I'm making offset as well. It's intended to be a more realistic looking, but non-functional beadlock.

I am drawing a rim that is two piece that sandwiches around three 3/8" washers. This adds 16g to the wheel and it's completely hidden inside.

I hope to print these tonight and have pictures of the real things tomorrow or Tuesday.

I know everyone is chomping at the bit, but I still have a lot of work to do. Soon...

sooo.... any interest in selling me just the file for this rim? I have access to a 3d printer at work.

eh, surely it wouldnt be more than a small padded envelope? theyre sorta cheap, i know they are from my side. when i sent the AX10 chassis plates to the US in an envelope it only cost me $5-$10. wasnt terrible.

are 1.9inch versions of my requested Jeep rim out of the question? so 12mm hex, fairly neutral offset, 1.9 bead. etc. ??
