Default King Kong '80s monster truck (short vid added)

Here's something that I've been working on a vintage 80's monster truck KING KONG.
It has a BLADE SMC 4.5 EX chassis a vintage 1/25 amt BIGFOOT body and a rollbar made from Styrene and wheels and tires from a 1/24 monster truck model.
The other truck is a static BIGFOOT that I'm also still working on.

So which one is the one that runs? The gray one? Just wanting to be clear.

Yes it was the gray one.
This is what it looks like now. I'm still working on it.

Not running yet just posing for the camera.

It's starting to look like the real one, Just need a few more details and the body will be done.

I'm using some plastic screws that I cut down to size and drilled a hole down the middle.

Hey I am just wondering, what is the point of putting aluminum over the driveshaft? I have seen so many people do it, but never understood why.

It's for lengthening the driveshaft you'll have to do the same for the links if you want a longer wheelbase.
Here's a quick how to link Micro Mod bible

Added rear bumper and set up for 4WS,

KING KONG on the rocks
