Yo Dan, Since last post I got the lower chassis laser cut and printed the hood mold. My fist attempt and vacuum molding on my new smaller machine didn't go well. Gimme a little more time. :p

Ok, now that I've gone through the entire thread let me just say...I hate you. But only out of pure jealousy. :-)

Seriously though, the stuff you're doing is amazing and massive kudos to you! I am very interested in getting one of the chassis and maybe some wheels too but I will patiently wait. Just keep us informed on how it's all going and if I may, i would like to suggest accessories. Things like tire racks, small tools and such, I;m not sure what the cost would be but cool accessories like those would probably do really well.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay! I been very ill... :(

I am feeling much better.

Dan, this is your chassis. I can make the side panels in black, yellow, or brushed stainless steel. The colored ones can be painted.

I have made a hood. Many improvements need to be made to be more efficient. But it's pretty good.

I made the rear deck. I think it turned out ok. Do you think I should make it fit under the horizontal pipe? It would need to be glued though.

Let me know what you think. It's getting very close. I may try to make a floorboard and dash... hmmm...

Forgot to mention... This chassis weighs 24grams! That's 0.83 ounces!

Glad you're feeling better. My vote is to keep the rear tray mounted on the top. I don't like the idea of having to glue it it would be a pain if u needed to remove it later.

I would say brushed. And the rear deck looks awesome. I am not sure what you mean about gluing it but maybe some super small zip ties instead?

Have everything I need but this chassis and a set of your rims!
Sumo axles
Full bearing upgrade for axles(not installed yet)
Quark 22a ESC
4200kv brushless motor(soon to be upgraded to a neu proton)
3s lipo(also have some 2s lipos)
Spektrum Rx/tx
Losi trans(not pictured, staying in my stock crawler until I have a need to pull it)
Miclaws
Sumo shocks

I also have some threaded rod, ball ends, aluminum tube, etc. For links and drive shafts.
So any progress? Lol

Man I wish this would come out already. Danally is building my rig now and we are having a hard time coming up with a chassis for it. We couldn't find a VW bug body for it......(Wish Dogbreath's VW body was still available). If I had the choice I would buy all three versions of this chassis....LOL!!

Terrible time with vacuum forming. Everything is green light but the hood, and I'm so close I need to finish it. Got in the thinner material and spent all day but nothing yet. Hang in there...
