Default fix/maybe pinion mod

well i'm honored to tell you guy I stripped my first pinion

most likely from all the extra torque after locking the slipper!

so i grabbed me some of this stuff from my Pops stuff

for my new pinion i used the smaller end of this metal gear from a burnt servo that i dipped in water and didn't waterproof the small end was the stock 10 tooth and i just drilled out the hole in the gear alittle and mucked some of that stuff in and let it cure overnight.

i tested it---> put the tires in holes on my rock crawl course and flipped the truck and just used up a lipo full powering it and crawling ....now just to see how long my metal pinion holds

I've been using these: Pinions (the small gears) Radical RC A perfect press fit and you can get 9T. And at $1.75, they're a steal.

Ohhhhhhhhh yes. You can hear the motor spinning a lot faster and you definitely notice the added torque, especially if you're using a big spur.

I should add that it is a TIGHT press fit onto the motor shaft. Use a vice or a clamp to get it on. I used a rubber mallet and broke my motor case (hooray superglue!!!). And make sure you're happy with the tooth count...I've never tried to remove mine, but considering how hard it was to get on, I'm not sure how easily they will come back off. Either way, a great bang for the buck, and they work perfectly.
