Default Blue_guy's Jeep Build

Ever since I bought my Trail Trekker this fall, I have been wanting a Jeep body for it. I couldn't find a road ripper body locally so I went for a New Bright LJ. I stretched the wheelbase on the Trekker to 5.5 inches with custom links and modded driveshaft.

I decased the esc/receiver. Replaced the servo with a Hitec HS-55. I added bbs to the wheels for weight. Not so sure that I like them. I will probably switch to solder when I get new tires. I am running a hobbyzone 2S 300mah Lipo.

While trying to mount the body I ended up cutting most of the floor out. It now has a styrene floor with the correct holes in it now.

It is definitely more top heavy now but makes for a fun truck to drive around in my small backyard course. No pics of it there but I do have video to upload soon.

I still need to paint the body, mount the seats, detail the dash & get some bigger tires.

I was bored Sunday so I decided to build a Hi-Lift jack for the Jeep.

Parts before paint. I used some scrap styrene and some 1/8" aluminum tubing for materials.

Not sure where on the Jeep I am going to mount it to. Maybe the hood?
