| RedCat SUMO speed?
Hello. I´ve got a red cat Sumo and I´m very happy with him, but I need a little more speed. Now I´m running a 2S and 350 mAH lipo. What could I do? Thank you very much PD: please excuse me, but my English is not very good! |

Get your hands on an 80T 130 Can Motor. Danally can hook you up.

| Re: RedCat SUMO speed? those motors dont just bolt up and last i knew Dan didnt offer a sumo kit. replacing the bushings with bearings helps some but swapping the transmission from a losi micro would give you more speed as well as allowing motor upgrades from Danally

My bad. Spoo is right. Get a losi transfer case and get an 80 Turn Predator 130 can motor.

And get some mini-qlow tires... They won't make it faster, but they'll make it MUCH more fun!!!! |

It depends on how much more speed you want & how much you want to spend to get it... I would not recommend a losi trans & 130 can on stock sumo electronics. It won't do you any good.. This setup wouldn't cost you much & has good performance... A losi trans 59t spur & 12t pinion, 70t pn racing motor fitted with neo magnets running on the stock losi micro crawler electronics with 2s lipo would give you something like this Mudder. - YouTube |

This would also be an option.. I've not tried it with the redcat motor on it yet but this gearhead runs 200rpm at 12V. When I ran it with the OE motor it was about twice as fast as the stock recat setup but didn't have enough torque on 2S. I can not by hand stop this setup while gripping a driveshaft so this may be the ticket. BTW these 16mm gearheads are a direct bolt on replacement, one the "plastic box" is removed from the face of the transmission and you would just need longer motor screws. I ended up using two screws from an old duracraps servo |

Thank you very much. So I´m going to buy a micro losi tranny and motor. I´ve been looking for the tranny but I´m not sure of what I need to buy!! Please, could you tell me if these are the both parts that I need? Do I need some thing else?
