Default spray?

So my bronco body came in the mail the other day and since then I have been prepping and modifying in order to get it to sit how I like on the frame....now I have some questions regarding paint.....

I'm going to go with spray paint but would like some suggestions on brands.....I think I'm going with a flat brown black or olive color or some shade in between....possibly a army theme.

Do you have a favorite brand paint?

Glue is another point of interest for me....as a child constructing models I always used test or paint......but I remember cure times being painfully long.

Favorite glue?

Is it worth attaching tiny accessories like mirrors and bumper guards if I'm really gonna play with this thing?

Thanks!

My mirrors broke off just Handling it. I like using my glue accelerator but uncured paint dont. If your going to leave it shiny plastic i'd recommend an adhesion promotor for plastics. Makes paint lay better doesnt make it not stick & pool.

I love tamiya paint. Spray's smooth and nice thin light coats. not thick like testers.

Glue I use testers plastic glue, then I use Milliput to enforce anything I can! Shoegoo is also good for enforcing stuff because it has some bouce to it

That's what I did on Xmods back in the day and they hold up well

I just spent some time learning about paint few weeks ago.

Wash body with standard toothpast or maybe 1400 grit sandpaper.
Use Duplicolor sandable primer.
I recommend Tamiya paint, they even have a category for army colors.

I have always just used CA 5-10 second superglue but I don't know if I recommend it. Cures in 10-30 minutes.

The only truck I have with mirrors are a peg and hole type so I didn't glue them and remove them before I drive it.

Sick idea if you just drill a tiny hole put something like a tiny piece of wire on the mirror you could put them in and just pop them out

I like that idea also....this is my first real attempt at putting a body together.....I'm trying my best not to rush....its hard to resist wanting to do everything all at once!

I think that's the most important part. I have been working on my latest build for almost a year.

When you say sand the body.....do you mean just lightly to create a surface for the paint to stick?

Yea make it not shinny. Soap water high grit , fine scotch pad. I just use adhesion promoter, but i just use automotive spray bomb touch up. The adhesion promoter keeps the surface like glass, in turn so is your paint job. But if camo dont really matter.
