What happens if you change placement of the positive and the negative wires in the servo socket ?

When i made my txt-1 4ws I had to flip the wires in the socket. Made it turn the right way. I'd try and pop the red and black wires out and flip them. Snap them back in and should be good to go.

It should be fine with a Y wire. You'd just want to switch the red and black between where the cable splits and the rear servo, instead of switching them up at the receiver. You want the current to reach the front servo normally, but reach the rear servo backwards (so that the motor in the rear servo moves backwards of how it normally would).

Will be fine with the Y. I run a fan w one, just velcro'd it to the chassis side w motor close. Works great. Also going to use it for headlights cuz i'm running lipo i have all kinds of power.

if you change red and black wire it don't work!!! the other solution is to solder wire inside servo, inverse they two motor wire, and they two potentiometer wire not one in the middle, but you need some soldering skill!!!!! another option is to put the in the front of the rear axel!!! but i'm sure the stering linkage clear the link!!!!! good luck

Or maybe it was the red and white? I know if you flip two of them it reverses the servo its just like the motor if you flip the positive and negative it goes backwards

If you flip the positive and negative wires you will burn out the pot in the servo and it will be useless. The quick and simple way is to buy a reversing y-harness. But they can fail. The best way is to open the servo and flip the positive and negative motor and pot wires INSIDE the servo. This has worked for me for over a year. It's not easy because of the size of the wires, but it's well worth the effort. |

I second that. Swapping the red and black is instant servo toast. Best to open the servo and do the work as described. There are some brands that operate the opposite way out of the box. I think Futaba is one. |

I wrote up how I did mine here: Beater's Banter: Project MC Hammer: Adding Rear Steer If you read the whole thing there's also a quick guide for waterproofing your servo. Really opens up the crawling possibilities!
