They are both 1/24th scale, but I can only vouch for the accuracy of the vehicle. |

Lookin' good, Jim! One of these days I'm gonna' just stop talkin' and send you money for one of these or the Spectre. Question: Compared to the Trekker (of course mine's barely stock) how do these perform? Only have one micro right now...actually it's my son's....but I'd like to go a different direction with it for him. He wants to paint it a different color, which pretty much requires a new body. If I'm going to do that....I'd really prefer to build something new out of it for him I think. But I've considered doing a Nissan Frontier or Hilux body for the stock frame, too. Scale builds are cool and all, but your kits are amazing, man! May just have to break down and buy another micro and build one of each. |

Hey! Well I have run all of my chassis kits extensively so far except this one. I have been trying to work on the Specter, finish up the Goat, and fine tune the vacuum molder, rather than finish the build. I will do it eventually, but I don't want to lose the momentum I have going right now. I will say due to the width this chassis has the same challenges as a scale hard body build. My photos show semi droop, but full droop would probably work and look better. I just prefer semi droop. But really this is a 1/24th scale copy of the real life Scorpion, so it is a scale build. There is plenty of room inside for lots of interior details. Also this chassis is made from nylon which is much stronger than the acrylic I was using. I am printing new hood vacuum molds that should enable me to make six of them at a time. Then I will do a preorder where I accept orders for a few days and then order up a bunch of chassis' from Shapeways and ship when they arrive here. Overall turnaround should be around 7 to 10 days.

Here are a few pics of the 4 door Scorpion. It's wheelbase is 5.7" and the rims are 1/8" offset on Trekker axles. |

That 4 door looks good Jim! I am curious to see that truck version in roller form. Will the wheelbase on it be longer like the 4 door?
