RSMC Trans Upgrade???

Well, recently I've parted ways with a bunch of my micro stuff. The only rig I couldn't get rid of was the Redcat. I took that as a sign that it wasn't ready to leave. Since I've still got it, I've been running it around the house and yard, but that was cut short today.

About 10 seconds after plugging it in and turning on the ESC I managed to bind it up in an epic desk crawl. A few gentle pulls of the throttle didn't get it unstuck, going backwards bound it up worse, and before I knew it, it popped and stopped moving.

Long story short, I killed the intermediate gear in the trans. You know, the little 9T that goes between the top and bottom gears. Not only is it missing teeth, it's broken in half.

Is there a way to upgrade the gears in the trans to something a little more durable? Maybe using Mod 0.5 pinion gears or something? GaymeRC has a vid on youtube about swapping gears, but his solution leaves the trans case open on the top. Is there a way to fit larger gears in this case with bearings on the top and bottom shafts? I'd really like to keep this a sealed unit, and maybe even improve the sealing to keep out water and mud.

Great question but I don't have any info to help u. If you need more stock gears let me know...I have a few.

In that case, I need more stock gears. Pretty please? BTW, I still have your micro gear motor sitting here. I'll send it out with a little cash for the gears tomorrow. Sorry, I spaced it till I ran across it tonight!

Still accepting ideas to make the trans last longer, if I broke them once I'll do it again...
