I know that this would require multiple motors or more work vs track per axle corner.. but this is soo cool...

Have you thought about using the Tamiya track and wheel kit for the tracks? The tracks in the kit are more rubbery for better traction and have a some what adjustable length tho they wouldn't be as scale. I made a tracks for my micro out these and it worked good till the tracks come off because they don't line up the best. I posted it on here just search mattracks.

I apologize for the post, just was showing pictures and didn't follow proper forum procedure. Mr Fungi it's your thread and I apologize once again, didn't mean to cross any lines or offend anyone.

I actually spent some time on it earlier today.

I replaced the steel hardware with nylon. Each track is much lighter now. I think I need to lengthen the front segment slightly, maybe a little too much slack. I thought I would show what's made of and what the problems are. I think I have it as friction free as possible. The main concern is keeping dirt out of the center of the sprocket where the track assembly pivots from. The tracks align on the sprocket and on the front bogies. I want to change it so it also aligns on the rear set of bogies. I've got some ideas.
