I'd just like to see if it fits the 58-59t spur gear used in Danally's stroker and big block kits. It's a much bigger gear, and it looks like the spur sits inside the housing. Is there clearance for a larger gear, and motor?

Anything's possible! I checked that setup out and I believe it could be modified to work.

This post is what I consider a "feeler" post and is not allowed on RCC without having a vendor star.

You have 3 options:

1. You can either edit your post and reword/delete that part
2. Buy a vendor star
3. Ignore my post/do nothing, and I delete this entire thread.

Alright, I should be all good now with the blue star and all. I really didn't have intentions of selling but hey, now it gives me more reason to perfect my designs and give to community. So what would you like to see for products guys?

Alright! Way to go with the blue star! I would personally love one of these for my next build. It's a mega mud truck build with a DDT 65t stroker motor, hot racing aluminum tranny, and redcat axles. It will be more of a go fast rig, but I would love the ability to drop down a gear for more torque when things get thick. I would love to do some real world extreme condition testing for you!

I would love to just get my hands on 2 or 3 of those 2 speed transmissions! Thanks for picking up that vendors star, I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

The two speed is an amazing start, how about something easy like a more scale axle case?

Good deal. I haven't had any failures with the current design but I am going make some improvements before I send any out. I am running 2S lithium ion batteries in it which made a considerable wheel/gear train speed difference and still no problems.

Ok, after some design changes and a bit of testing I will build a hand full.

What exactly do you have in mind? Like a dimensional and appearance correct model of a actual axle i.e. Dana, Ford 9", Gm 10 bolt, ect...?

Sounds good, looks like I have to get after it then.

Holy chit!
My prayers have been answered!

Truly amazing work! I would love some of these for go fast sumo axled builds like RBR said keep the gearing or close to it with some available gears that we the people can get our hands on you have a big hit on your hands with the micro crowd!

Keep up the evolution of this 2 speed & people will be all over it!

Glad to see it coming to life!

I will be glad to send you anything you need for mock up to see if it will work with a stroker motor.

Are you planning on offering modified radio's with the 3rd channel set up too? Or are you going to leave it to the customer to come up with a 3 channel set up?

I would be glad to put one to the test and see if I can break it for you I've been know to break my micro's

Absolutely, I was just going to message you about seeing if I could get one of your setups to build a special version of the transmission around.

As far as the radio goes I was thinking about offering it with or without the radio components.

I have little bit of an update and I wanted to share my first step into the "faster gear ratio world".. I made some module 0.4 gears with a pinion gear of 20T and a drive gear of 27T giving a ratio of 1.35:1. With the stock 4.8v battery it moved around pretty good. With the 7.4v Lipo setup it moves fast enough to do stoppies.. I'd rather it do wheelies but hey, that was on a low charge and I'll try to get a video of it with the lipos up soon.

Here's the first set of printed gears. I know they don't look great. I'm waiting for my new extruder heads to show up so I can print much finer detail.

Here are some of the parts I've been testing and the ball bearings I have been adding in places of high speed/friction. The white translucent gear set is a low friction, high temperature and impact resistant nylon based material that is crazy tough. The gray gear is a PLA(polylactide) plastic gear and the far right gears are a stock gear with a PLA gear and bearing combo pressed into it.

Here's a quick video of the high speed gear test. It's a bit jerky because I'm steering with my face..

And here's short one in low gear to show you the control you get with such a low gear.. no shifting and again steering with my face.

Ok, after seeing those video's,I changed my mind. I love the new gear ratio! If you put some sumo axles under that thing it would scream! You would definitely be able to pull wheelies! Then you could go from really fast, to "holy s--t" at the flip of a switch. I'm loving it!

This is amazingly sweet! Could you imagine a scale build with one of these bolted into a crawlerx chassis? Please get a vendor star! Lol!
