Default 3D Printed Two Speed Transmission

So I bought this Micro Trekker for a bit of fun and to keep my mind sharp by using my CAD and problem solving skills. I designed and built a little two speed transmission and figured you guys might want to check it out.. So here are some pictures!

If that thing works well, I want at least half a dozen! What's the gear ratios like compared to stock? And will it handle a DDT stroker motor? Very impressive none the less.

Crawler gear is 21.52:1 and Stock Gear(second) is 4.5:1.
I've been trying to upload a decent quality video but the internet doesn't work long enough to do so. I did however get a lesser quality video to upload.
I'll keep trying to get the high quality one to load..

I want one to! Will you be able to make more? so you had to do the electronic thing because you don't have a 3ch switch right? i have a brushless setup with the flysky gt3b, so would that be easier to hook up?

Just a heads up, understand he is not a vendor and until he is, discussions on purchasing these need to be stopped now.

Nice looking design.

Watch it guys... as I'm sure you know, RCC rules state that non-vendors are not allowed to sell here on RCC.
So, please do not put Snaglefast in a bad situation by asking to buy.

Love,
Johnny

You know... I have been working on a similar idea for a while. My goal is a miniaturized tamiya 3 speed transmission... but with work, and limited cad skills, it is taking a while. This guy has modeled the tamiya 3 speed: Tamiya King Hauler: Gear Box - SOLIDWORKS, Other - 3D CAD model - GrabCAD, but it in .SLDPART format, which mostly works with Solidworks, which is too expensive.

Yes that is correct. I also did it so I could use the transmitter to control future Arduino based projects.

Yes, whatever you can use with the stock trans will work with this.
On that note, if there is enough interest, I plan on redesigning it a bit.. Maybe start from scratch so different motors could be used.

Those CAD skills come with practice.. If you need some pointers or files converted let me know. What are you using for CAD software and how do you plan on building it?

I finally got a decent quality version of the video to upload so here it is.

Sorry, my bad. Didn't mean to get anyone in trouble, just got over-excited when I saw this. Snaglefast- you need to purchase a vendor star! It would definitely be worth it for you.

Yep, and you can still change out the stock pinion gear to change 2nd gear ratio.

I'm thinking about building another one. What do you guys think would be a good choice for gear ratios?
