Default Codyboys micro crawler course.

Ok, so I have aquired a couple Losi trekkers in the last couple weeks and desided to build a outdoor course to run them on. I did a little research on the net to find out how to build faux rocks. It isn't like we don't have rocks were I live, I just wanted to try making some to see if I can do it! What can I say, I'm 65, retired and STILL play with little cars!!!!
So here is what I started with:

So this is progress at the end of day one, 94 degrees, I need a cold one!!!!

OK, I'm FAUX ROCKING now!!

Recipe; plastic milk jugs, styrene foam sheats, spray foam, chicken wire, portland cement, vermiculite, peat moss and fine sand.

The start of another day, looks like maybe another hot one!!!

This is one of the corner anchor stones ( the biggest one on the whole course).

Another day, another dollar, 96 degrees today, I think two beers would be in order!!!

Just thought I would throw these in here, my 10th scale course. 14 pickup loads of rock and 25 yards of dirt.

I finished up the rock and did a little painting and blending. Kind of going for a Southwest look.

Thanks Danally, I've been playing with cars since the middle 80s, and just can't stop! I love the tinkering part of it. If you need more info on the rocks let me know. When I get my motor and wheels I will finish my truck and try out the rocks.

Here is a few more pics:

That's an awesome set-up! Hoping to move into a new house soon with some land so I can build a couple of courses for my rigs. Likely one for my Mini and then one for the Micro (my son's).

Great Work!
