So much great detail work on a small truck. Those new wheels will really change the look.

Thanks guys, here's an update. Here's the improved version of the frame I used on the 34 Ford. It's four-link in front and rear, so the wheelbase can be anywhere from stock trail trekker and longer. I got the rims cleaned and primered. More pictures to come.

For the amber light on top you should just print a mold for the dome and vacuum form the dome. Then you could paint the inside with some tamiya translucent orange.

Yeah I may need to try that.

I have some new pictures.

Here's the rims in primer.

Here is the winch design finished. I have it printed and waiting for the primer to dry.

For another project I decided to make a really detailed engine. I made a distributor cause I want it to have plug wires. It is turning out very nice.

Thanks for the comments, and thanks for watching.

Here's the winch. It's a Warn M8000. I need to make and add a couple decals. The holes in the motor are for wires that go to a control box.

This build is absolutely fantastic. I'm picking up a few tips/tricks just via the pictures. While I could never achieve the level of detail you have, I feel like this motivates me to at least try to build a unique micro trekker one of these days. Any chance you'd cut an extra frame or two!?

That's what I was hoping as well. I have that exact model truck body and would love to buy a chassis and wheels for it. I'm gonna build it either way, but this chassis would make it a lot easier.

Yes I will. I just got the rim page done on the Vendors page.

I will get started on the chassis work!

Here's the distributor cap installed. I'm putting this motor on a crawler build one day. I always wanted to put spark plug wires on 1/25th scale motor.

Hi Snarf, It was running rough and I realized 5 and 7 were swapped. lol The wires are 30 gauge "wire wrapping" wire.

Hi Josh, it's a 1/24th scale Lindberg model kit I got online for about $10. Thanks!

Hey man - awesome thread again. Motivated me to give a go at throwing a model body on my trekker. Having never done modeling before, I've got a lot to learn. I spent some time last night carving out holes in the interior pan and whatnot for suspension clearance to get my van to this point. I want to run bigger tires on it so its up a bit high for the stock wheels. Also, the rear axle will have to go backwards about 3/16 of an inch to align with the wheel arches.

This is kind of my practice/trail and error body. I think for the next one I do, I'm going to use one of your scale frames and do it up right.
