| Sneak peek...
About a year ago my buddy and I were working on a project. Here is part of that project. A cool little bracket that lowers the upper link and relocates the shocks. Much more to come. |

I like stuff like this that you can just bolt on to the stock chassis instead of getting a new chassis.

I could totally go for one of those chassis! I also really want to see how you use those relocation brackets! What are those other parts in the picture with the chassis plates for? |

Hi Dan, The other parts have been posted in the 34 Ford thread. The distributor cap, warn winch, and the rotating beacon light. The brackets lower the upper link and raise the shock up. For this chassis the shocks are mounted outside the links. I'm investigating the resin molding process for these parts. Actually printing the molds. I'll post more images as I progress. |

Hi Chevy, There are already 5 changes in the works for the chassis. Hi Slam, The Specter is on hold till I do the rebuild of my vacuum molder, which will be a pain in the ass that I'm not looking forward to. I am looking into casting these chassis panels with resins that perform as well as injection molded ABS. I will be printing the mold pucks. All of this should be for sale by January 2015. I could provide excuses why it's taken so long, but it's not particularly interesting or important really. This chassis will be known as the Goat. It should be able to handle sumo running gear. |

Thanks Shortbus and MikeChino, I made a little jig for making links. It was very helpful getting them all the same length. As I suspected the flex is not awesome, due to the design. The shocks are mounted farther apart on the axle and they are not angled in at the top at all. It is however an accurate representation of the R-1, so mission accomplished I guess. lol I will post more images soon. Thanks for watching. |
