I am making a micro transfer case product. I found these gears. ![]() I designed this. I'm gathering inventory and finding a place to make the D shaft. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for watching. ![]() |

Tiny engineering for sure do you have a picture with a tool or coin for scale?

Hi, is this transfer case designed with the Losi Micro Crawler or Trekker in mind? I dont see any holes on the bottom to mate it to the stock center skid? Very interested in something like this but I am not much at fabbing so it would be great to have a direct "bolt-on" transfer case.

Any word on when this will be available? Would like to pick on up for a scale micro build. Thanks!

Hi Had trouble sourcing the D shafts, so I'm changing the design to use brass gears and ditch the D gears. I have the 3mm precision ground shaft on order and will machine the ends in house. Yes this will have mounting brackets for the trekker and McRC style frames. The gears look more like this. ![]() Last edited by Fungi; 02-14-2015 at 01:34 PM. |

Thank you for this Jim! This is a very cool piece! Now there's no more worry about not being able to use a full interior.

Any chance of doing a cool trans mount to put the stock tranz up front? then you could offer it as a divorce kit. ![]() |

Hi Mike, I'll be making a mount for the transfer case so it will attach between the frame rails. The losi trans already has a perfect mount built in. Unless I'm not visualizing it properly, which is possible, I don't see a need. I'm making them primarily for motors like these. Thanks for the comments everyone! ![]() |

Your idea looks good, what i was thinking is something to turn the stock losi trans to put it lower in the chassis, if you use the stock mount it sits up really high, just thinking out loud, i have been looking at too many 1.9 and 2.2 threads lately lol. Continue with your plan, so far everything you're making is amazing. ![]() |

i'm sure this is fairly obvious(except to me,lol!). is this supposed to take the place of the regular trans? the engineering is outstanding,,but whats its purpose?

Hi guys, thanks for all the nice words! Jenijohnk, the purpose is to replace the stock trans with a gear motor and this transfer case. It will work with either Losi or redcat axles, just requires choosing a different gear reduction on the gear motor. I have received the 3mm precision ground brass rod, am waiting on gears. I will post pics of it installed as soon as possible. Thanks!

This will also bring the weight of the motor forward! Just like a real rig!
