| Trekker / McRC Rear Lockout Project
I wanted to try making a lockout for the rear. This uses stock axle parts, I'm not making axles. There is no shock mount because there will be a link and shock mount plate that mounts to the lower link mount with a spacer. The final image shows it with the shelf removed from the axle. I will print it and test it for strength. |

These are awesome! This is a much needed product, the H.R. ones for the crawler are nice, but we need them for the Trekker. If they prove to be strong enough, and make it into production, I will definately order several sets! Ok, now that you've designed these though, what about some for the Redcat axle? I know you mainly design for the Trekker, but a set for the Redcat axle would be really cool too. I would probably order even more of those, if you made them. |

That bottom pic looks super clean. Can't wait to see a pic of these installed with your shock/link plates.

| Re: Trekker / McRC Rear Lockout Project That's really great news Jim! It would be cool to have some Redcat lockouts. When you get yours in you'll have to throw those axles in a rig with a Losi transmission. The fast rigs can be fun! Just be careful of driveshafts breaking! |

Here's a low profile version of the link/shock brackets. I started a print job. I will have some parts in a couple hours. |

I made a couple sets to test. They fit perfectly, very snug. Strong as heck too... I will cut out the link/shock plates add some flat black paint and post up pics. I will get a vendor page for them and we are good to go. |

Jim have u ever thought of making the link/shock one piece with the rear lockout? It would completely remove the need for the rear screw on the axle that secures the lock sense the 2nd secure point would be the old link mount?

Slam, I am reluctant to make it all one piece for a couple reasons. The panel method gives me more flexibility because it's easy to make a custom laser cut part. The cost of the 3D printed part goes way up if you add this panel to the part. Thanks Dubfreak! So here it is installed on the Goat. Nice Ass! |
