Steering servo recommendations. Now i have rear steer need both servos to match as i c rear steers slower. I have a futaba s3156 that came with a rig and i used it. On 2s it is 33oz torque which is nice for my miclaws... but at $40... anything out there cheaper and just as good? I could buy 2 and move this to my mud truck... I love the cheap mg90 servos. Sometimes you can find US dealers but usually have to wait 2-3 weeks for them to ship from China. I buy 4 at a time. They are strong and even come in a metal gear option. I used to get about a 10% bad out of the box rate but haven't had a bad one in ages.

I have to agree with danally, I bought a bunch of them super cheap, and only had one bad one. For the price they can easily be replaced when needed. And they work just as well, if not better than my hitec HS-65mg.

I think S is for metal gear. Not positive. You really don't need metal gear. I only buy them when there is a place in the U.S. That has them when I am buying.

A little late on this post :P but i used Turnigy™ TGY-306G-HV Ultra Fast/High Torque DS/MG/HV Alloy Case 3.7kg / .05sec (US Warehouse) out of my 450 heli... lots of torque relative to a trekkers size. 34oz @ 4.8v, 43oz @ 6v and 51oz @ 7.2. Also nice to add a little bit of weight down low over the axles too. |
