Default Gearing down Trekker and Temper

Hey Hey Everybody

New here and found this glorious place in my searches. I'm impressed by the amount and quality of the content here.

I was wondering if anyone else has done this and liked the outcome.

Pictured is the trans from my Trekker, but it might as well be from the Temper since I did that one first and they're nearly identical. The main reason I did this to my Temper was it wouldn't go slow enough due to less proportioning in the receiver (I think)

I got tired of both rigs running out of torque, and since I like to play around with making my own gearboxes I thought I'd give this mod a try. I had ordered several packs of different sized gears off Amazon and only one gear matched the gear pitch of the MRCs.

I'm very happy with how they turned out. They never bind up now and practically never get stuck.

After looking at all the other mods, it seems like people are just upgrading the motors when they want more power. I needed more torque to pull a trailer with a small 12 volt battery that powers an FPV camera, baby monitor, and lights so I can drive around my property for security and fun too.

Never seen that done, great idea. Do you know what the reduction is now?

No, I don't, but thanks for asking that. That is something I should be able to calculate.

Can you share the source of the gears? I need more options. I also experimented with cheap gears to make 130 motor plates but they are all .5mod.
