Default Replacement motor

Picked up a micro to complete my Losi crawler collection. Needs some work ha a neat little torsion chassis along with the stock one. I can't seem to find a drop in replacement motor for it.

Anyone know where to get one ?

I've searched and all I come up with is threads listing the Atomik BB2 which seems to be long out of stock anywhere.

Get ahold of Danally. He can rewind your motor. Unfortunately the motors this size that are rebuildable are no longer made so sending him yours is the only option for a drop in. The next step up would be a 130 can motor (big block) this size is What was used in the xmods and mini Z. He can also wind those. To fit however you'd need a custom motor plate as well as a larger pinion and possibly spur to give the can space away from the transmission case. The Danally "predator" motors are definitely worth it and give you more power and smoother control.

So there's no drop in replacements ? Have to mod to fit something ?

The factory motor rewound by Danally is as drop in as you will find.

Found a seller listing 3 on eBay. Hopefully it's true and they ship.

Hmm that's expensive for a stock style motor. I know you're looking for a drop in, but at that price I'd rather have the big block 130 can motor. Brass pinions are cheap, motor plates are easy to make or can be purchased from Fungi. Then you'll have more power, more torque, and lower motor temps

I'm just going to stay stock I think. I got this more for a crawler to stash in my landcruiser. Going to make it fit in a foam case and just pack it around all the time for "emergency crawl situations". E.g. I'm at a boring function my wife brought me to and there's some rocks in a ditch around the corner. I'll sneak away and get some dirt church in lol. Too many other unfinished rigs and more being bought all the time lol

Put one and have about 30 350mah lipo packs through and still going strong. Does get crazy hot though like you said.

Check into Team Brood Frenzy motors as a possibility. Not sure if they are for a mini or micro. The only other option I've heard of is the Dynamite. Keep watch on ebay too.

They are definitely for a mini. They would be pretty large and heavy in a micro.

I’ve been looking for a motor option with more torque and have come up with the fact that most any “N” size motor will do. The Barrage motor is just a MM too wide to fit perfectly but that’s to be expected. So I hit the internet and came across some on Banggood then that spilled over to fleaBay where I ordered a pair of these to try out. If the 10mm measurement is correct then these will work.

Good find Brakeweight, NSR Slotcars has a great selection of small motors with different winds availabe. One of their long cans maybe, might be too much though?

I got the 90t rewind from Danally years ago. I supplied the stock motor. It works great.
Here is his member info. Looks like he hasn't posted in a while.

btw, my plastic pinion gear broke. Do you know where I can get a brass pinon?

If you have a Losi motor he can wind it for you, but he no longer provides motors because they aren't made anymore.
