Default Micro trekker whoas

He all, jist added a micro trekker to the collection. Super stoked about it found a brand new never run one. Put a battery in it, transfer case locked up??? Pulled it apart and the little gear inside the tranny has a crack in it! Anyone have a clue where I can find one?

Thanks

Didn't find anything new, a buddy found a used truck with roasted electronics I'm gonna pilfer for parts. I only need the small 20t one. Hopefully the guy ships it. Sorry wish I had better news... if i find new ones I'm gonna buy a couple just for peace of mind never thought it would be this hard to find.

Skip the plastic & go with a brass gear.

Hello, on this subject, is there a brass replacement for the motor pinion available online? I have two motors with stripped pinion gears.

Yes, there’s plenty of 8t, 9t, and 10t pinion gears online. I ordered some on eBay before I ended up going with a Danally motor that already has one installed.

I’m assuming you used a small drill bit to make the initial cut points, but I don’t think I have anything that could finish the shape when it comes to cutting. Thanks for any info. Time to order some gears

That's the one I get it with a 4mm id. I use a file to square it up.

Thank, man! Will do. I’ll post when I’m done. Hopefully it comes out as good as yours! I’m currently working on all metal links for my trekkers at the moment. Just finished the steering links. Once I’m done with the rest of them I’ll switch to gear mode

Dang it, just found a plastic one or I certainly would be went with the brass. Paid 20 freaking dollars for it too just cause I had a hard time finding it... Dang it.

Thanks though good info here, maybe it'll help someone else out when they search micro crawler / trekker gears

Not a big deal (at all) but the title should be 'woes' not 'whoas'
