Default Lower prices

I removed all of the markup on my shapeways shop. The prices are now just what shapeways charges. I get nothing from the sales at all. I am no longer selling parts and rather than remove them decided to just make them as inexpensive as possible.

Why did you remove your profit?

Oh, damn. Are you ‘getting out’ of the business side? I was just contemplating getting another chassis to build.

Well, I figured I may as well get another chassis. The problem is that the Losi Micro bits are drying up so I tried another route. I picked up a China LMcC clone last year for about $40, IIRC. It’s close to the Losi but is different. I wanted to stretch my wheelbase more than Fungi’s but I got a little overboard. I’ll need to shorten my links about 10mm.

If I order the "1/24th scale detailed Specter" do I need anything else or can I just transfer necessary parts from my Losi Micro crawler?

You’ll need to make new links as the mounting points for the uppers are different.

But the balls and cups are hard to find. I went with some 3/16” stainless rod and these

But then you’ll need some m2 hardware to mount the links. LOL. I happened to have all that on hand after building a WPL up on some Losi Mini axles. If you can find enough Dromida or ECX micro balls/cups you can go that route. But new links will be needed.

Another thing is the body mounts...or lack thereof. Notice how there isn’t any for the roof panel and the hood panel is lacking them, too. See how I ditched the rear upper link mount and went straight to the axle.?

That's bad ass! Who makes those wheels?

I'd also like to know where to get the clone.

Could you please post the link to LMcC clone? TIA

The ECX Temper and WLtoys are identical clones.
Just remember they are good for parts In builds, but it doesn't perform anywhere close to the Losi. It's much much cheaper, but keep in mind...
The track width and wheelbase are the same as the trekker, even though the chassis and body look like the micro crawler.
Bushings not bearings
Garbage electronics that have poor throttle control. It's like an on and off switch. Its so bad you notice it even with the worm gears.
It's not uncommon to have a motor die with normal crawling and they aren't able to be rewound like the Losi.
Also the link geometry is horrible and wonky.
Like I said they aren't great out of the box, but if you need axles and a transmission for a build you can't beat the price
