Default My Losi Mini-Rock Crawler

I was fortunate enough to be able to help Rich do some testing on this and get my hands on one of these things.

I have known and heard about it for a while but my first thoughts when I pulled it out of the package were, "Wow that's smaller than I though it was gonna be". As I pulled it out of the box I can tell this thing is gonna be a bad ass rig. I haven't got a chance to do any crawling with it yet, that will come tomorrow when I plan to go out and shoot some video of it.

I took it out into the studio and shot a bunch of pics, to give you guys the complete lowdown on this thing.

The shirt says it all

These first few pics are just of the box. For many people seeing these on the shelves at the hobby shop will be their first time seeing a rock crawler. Losi did a great job on the box to attract peoples attention and tell them what the hobby is about.

I really liked the top of the box, first you get a shot of the rig with the body on, then you get a shot with the top off.

Inside the box is kinda cool, nice rock background and it's sitting on some rocks.

Pull it out of the box and flex it up a little. It flexes good right out of the box, it'll go more than this if you force it, but driving this is about all it should do.

And just because everyone always posts these kind of pics, here you go. Note the battery is not in it right now as it is charging.

Tomorrow I take it out on the rocks.

lucky dog! Man I can't wait to get one for my "son". Will have to wait until Christmas but that will be perfect for indoor crawling. Looks very well built and thought out. I'm guessing the shock are around 2" long. looks like a shorter shock or semi droop would settle it down a bit. GC wouldn't be that bad just under 2" with that short of a WB. Looks like it going to be alot of fun regardless...

Yep, and from what I have been told it will run FOREVER on the stock 1100mah pack.

That's another good thing about this crawler. EVERYTHING you need is in the box, radio gear, battery, charger, radio batteries, everything.

Too cool, I can't wait to get one of these. Kinda funny, my first attempt at a crawler used a mini-t tranny.
