| First thing I wanted to do was drop the body down, only way to do that is to get the big battery out of the way. So I made a little nylon tray to put it on the three link. I also wanted to experiment with it being a little wider, so I put some spacers on it. They have some pro's and con's, but in the end I like the way it looks with them on. It looks kind of weird, and something about that makes it look cool, IMO. Next is a nylon tray for the rear so I can move the ESC and receiver down a little lower, and then cleaning up the top plate (removing the battery posts, etc.) Battery is a 2S 750mah. I got 30 minutes out of it, less than stock but good enough. Those little lipo's are cheap so it's easy to have 2-3 in your pocket while your out. Pics... | Side hilling is pretty darn impressive. It's like a spider monkey now. It can traverse more stuff that a 2.2 can, since it's almost a wide. The articulation is exaggerated which kind of sucks, it can almost stand a wheel on it's face. It makes it so the truck can go some places it would not be able to when it was narrow, but at the same time it makes it unable to go to some places it could go to when it was narrow. It's a give and take, I think in general it does not work as well since there really is not a huge amount of side hill climbing I do. But I like how it looks, so I am living with it for awhile then I will ditch them. |

| hmmm I don't think i'd like it that wide. that is pretty wide, especially for how low the axle is. I would think (atleast for my terrain... which is pretty normal) that is would get stuck alot due to much more of the axle being exposed, especially the crews holding on the knuckles that can get hung up even without the wideners. Also I'd worry about steering loss from having to push those wideners around. |

| In the end, the truck works better without the spacers and I have removed them. Very large rocks, a lot of smoother side hill action, and the spacers are good. But just like on a 2.2, they suck in general. I took mine out for the weekend camping...thing is awesome, product of the year IMO. It's more fun out of the box with some slight mods than the AX10 was for me at first. Losi wins with this one. Finally... |

| More pics...pity the pics don't show how steep the area is, it's surprising how well it can climb. |

One day I even put one through my washer and dryer. Since then when I'm done for the day they go into a lipo bag. Should one blow up in my pocket here will be the first place I post with the pictures.. | |
