we measured them and the're way too short, also tried the losi 4 inch shocks and their way too big if the shock body of the mini t rear shock was about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch longer they would have been perfect i really like the way losi makes their shocks (* well except for the MRC's) i really hope they come out w/ an aluminum shock asap

| I don't see the need for the aluminum shocks. I was talking with some others at Nat's who had these and everyone I spoke with about the shocks thought aluminum shocks would be an upgrade that is not needed. What about the shocks don't you like? |

as for why i dont like the shocks, have you seen them? as w/ many rtr rc cars, shocks are usually the first thing to be upgraded for a very obvious reason: companies usually use cheap shocks to cut costs. i dont blame them, the market is flooded w/ numerous shock options that are already tried and true; counting r&d along w/ other production cost, the monies put in can really add up the mrc shocks seem to be made from a fairly low density plastic. look at the point where the shock cap and shock body meet. notice how the body looks like its being streched out? im scared to over tighten it in fear of the body splitting. while tightening the bleeding screw, im also afraid of stripping the threads tried those too, the main issue is mounting them. w/ the screws being smaller on the mrc (1.5 mm) trying to mount the cap or rod end to the axles can prove to be an issue. a longer (1/2 - 3/4 inch) alumninum mini t shock would be perfect for the mrc Last edited by NeXt559; 09-11-2008 at 12:04 PM.

| I'd really like some aluminum shocks as well, but I think I'll just wait until someone makes a set specifically for the MRC, unfortunately, I just lost one of the bleed screws in the carpet |

| I think they are 1.5, I changed my setup to outboard the springs and had to drill out the holes to fit the 2mm bolts I bought. BTW, the shocks actually work better on my MRC now. Go check out the mules mrc thread I'm working on...... |
